Fall is my favorite time of year and here in Misawa, Japan, I think it has started. Which I am so grateful for because it has been a H O T & H U M I D summer. We’re talking about miserable because we don’t have AC and the carpets are damp and stinky. Yay for base housing. So I am so ready for it to be fall. The beautiful colors in the leaves, the crispness to the air. Mmmm it is so refreshing to me! I remember the excitement of back to school and organizing my room and school supplies so that everything was orderly. Fall for me is a time to refresh and begin any changes in my life that need to take place.
One thing I am currently working on is making a habit of becoming more present in my life. Living in the here and now instead of worrying about the future or getting stuck in the guilt of the past.
In my quest to be present I came up with a bucket list of things I want to do this fall to help me be more relaxed and strengthen relationships around me.
My Fall Bucket List
Have a bonfire
Jump in a pile of leaves
Wear cozy socks
Decorate your home for fall
Make & share pumpkin cookies
Cozy up with a good book
Go apple picking
Dress in layers
Visit a pumpkin patch
Run on a crisp morning
Keep a gratitude journal
Sip on homemade apple cider
Take family photos
Carve a pumpkin
Make a delicious soup
Take a hike to see the fall colors
Send hand written thank you notes
Roast pumpkin seeds
Wear fall lipstick
Have your house smell like fall
And of course I had to make it cute to hang on my fridge. If you head over to the shop you can find a printable version to give to your girl friends so that you can do some fun things together!
